3.0mm(W) x 7.0mm(H) x 40mm(L) MASSsleeve Ribbon Fusion Protection Sleeve

This 3.0mm(W) x 7.0mm(H) x 40mm(L) MASSsleeve is designed for protection of fused ribbon fibers. It accepts a 2-12 fused ribbon fiber.

The sleeve is easy to install and requires no heat shrink, curing, crimping or gluing. It is manufactured with an acrylic foam tape to seal against environmental conditions and improve long term splice reliability. The impact resistant plastic housing has two sections that fold along a hinge.They are delivered in an open position, ready to accept the fused fiber - simply load the fused fiber and close the sleeve. This process secures the protector and compresses the acrylic foam providing a hermetic seal to protect the fused fiber.

Sleeves are applied after the fibers are fused, eliminating the need to prethread the fiber into a tube - providing easy installation and preventing stress damage to splice joint.

MASSsleeve closing tool is required to insure proper installation. The tool's soft form holder and alignment pins assure accurate alignment every time. Please check P/N MFSCT for this tool.
