3M Fibrlok ™ and Multifibre Fibrlok ™ Mechanical Optical Fibre Splice.

Fibrlok mechanical splices are suitable for both single- and multimode fibres having a 125 µm diameter cladding and a 250 µm or 900 µm buffer coating.

The Multi-Fibrlok ™ multiple fibre splice can be used for both fibre optic ribbon cables and discrete fibres combined to form a ribbon. It is thus possible to connect 4 or 12 fibres simultaneously in one splice.

Fibrlok™ Optical Splicing System, Tools & Preparation Kits.
These splices provide a precise, simple, low-cost method of splicing optical fiber. The splice design utilizes an articulated metallic element held inside a molded plastic body and cap to provide a fast, permanent, low-loss splice.

Tools are available individually or in kits. The kits are available in a variety of combinations with or without 3M™ Fibrlok™ Assembly Tool and Cleaving Tool.

2529	(2529) 3M Fibrlok II 2529 Universal Optical Fiber Splice The 3M brand Fibrlok II 2529 Universal Optical Fiber Splice is a high performance, easy-to-use, mechanical optical fiber splice. The Fibrlok II Universal Splice can be used with either single-mode or multimode fibers with a cladding diameter of 125 microns. It will accommodate any combination of fibers with coating diameters from 250 mm to 900 mm. In addition, the Universal Optical Fiber Splice incorporates a single cleave length for splicing both 250 and 900 micron coated fibers and provides the ability to "re-position" fibers for increased splicing yields. The splice consists of four molded polymeric components and an aluminum alloy alignment element. The four polymeric components are: Jacket, End Plug (2), and Cap. This splice is yellow color coded for easy recognition. This 12 fiber mechanical splice can be used with either fiber optic ribbon cable or individual 250um coated fibers which have been organized into a ribbon structure (i.e. "ribbonized").
