This compact, durable tester enables network technicians and contractors to safely and quickly verify the presence of PoE, measuring the line voltage, amperage, and detecting the precise PoE standard of an active Ethernet drop.

The unit supports passive and active network environments, identifying Passive PoE, IEEE 802.3af, 802.3at, and 802.3bt standards. It operates seamlessly over an input range of 12 to 57 volts and can measure currents from 0 to 1500 mA. Additionally, the POE-1 functions as an essential cable mapping tool, performing resistance and continuity checks across standard structured cabling including Cat5, Cat5e, Cat6, and Cat6a.

Key Capabilities & Specifications

Supported PoE Standards: Passive, 802.3af, 802.3at, and 802.3bt

Voltage Range: 12V to 57V

Current Measurement: 0 to 1500 mA

Supported Cable Types: Cat5, Cat5e, Cat6, and Cat6a

Flexible Power Modes: Operates entirely on inline PoE power for active testing, or utilizes the included AA battery for verifying unpowered network cables

Package Contents

POE-1 Tester Unit

Cable Remote

Female-to-Female RJ45 Adapter

Belt Clip

AA Battery

Instruction Manual

Downloads

Product PDF
