The IGS-804SM-SE-E Gigabit Ethernet model is a managed industrial grade L2+ switch with 8x 10/100/1000Base-T ports and 4x GbE/Fast SFP ports.

The model supports timing synchronization features (SyncE & IEEE1588 PTP v2) that allow operators to deliver services with optimal stability and continuity in end-to-end connectivity.

Housed in rugged DIN rail or wall mountable enclosures, the switch is designed for harsh environments, such as industrial networks, security automation applications, intelligent transportation systems (ITS) and is also suitable for many military and utility market applications where environmental conditions exceed commercial product specifications.

Synchronous Ethernet models support a wide operating temperature range (-40 to 75°C) to fulfill the special needs of industrial automation applications.

One top application for Synchronous Ethernet switches is in mobile front haul applications.

Using Sync-E transport mobile operators can guarantee their last-mile service the same as traditional SDH-based networks, only using the all-powerful and affordable Ethernet backbone instead.
