Covestro DeSolite® DS-2900 Secondary Optical Fiber Coating, UV and LED Cure (10 kg)
Covestro DeSolite® DS-2900 Secondary Optical Fiber Coating, UV and LED Cure (10 kg)
Part Number: COV-DS-2900-10KG
The Covestro DeSolite® DS-2900 is a premium secondary coating material developed to protect optical fibers in demanding telecommunications applications. Designed for use as part of a dual-layer coating system, DS-2900 pairs with DeSolite® primary coatings to provide enhanced mechanical protection while maintaining the optical performance required for modern high-capacity fiber networks.
Its advanced formulation supports today's high-speed fiber manufacturing environments by delivering rapid curing characteristics and excellent processing flexibility. Whether used in wet-on-wet or wet-on-dry coating operations, DS-2900 helps manufacturers achieve efficient production rates while maintaining consistent coating quality.
In addition to its processing advantages, DS-2900 contributes to long-term fiber reliability through its low attenuation characteristics and resistance to microbending losses. The coating is suitable for conventional UV curing systems as well as newer LED curing technologies, making it an excellent choice for next-generation fiber production lines, including G.654.E optical fiber applications.
