The RB-BIDI1310-SAVER is a special passive 1310nm filter that is intended to be used on duplex 1310nm fiber connections and push both optical signals over only one single strand of SMF instead of the traditional 2 fibers.

By using the TFF (Thin Film Filter) technology, common duplex fiber circuits running at 1310nm will be converted to run on a single strand of fiber. This allows packed high density datacenters, mostly running high speed 100G LR4 or ER4 duplex optics to move those connections from to strands to only one strand of fiber.

By using the passive RB-BIDI1310-SAVER filter (one at each end of a duplex LR4 or ER4 transceiver), the available fiber plant is practically doubled. The passive 1310nm centered fiber saver is presented in an LGX boxed format with SC and LC optical connectors.

Casing is made of aluminum and they use ABS capsule for the filters inside. The LGX box format can be installed in the 4 slot 1RU chassis for higher density fiber saver devices.
