The FRM220-10GE-TS converter is an extremely versatile fiber media converter equipped with one 10G-Base-T Ethernet copper port (RJ45 Cat6a or Cat 7 twisted pair cabling, backwards compatible with 1000Base-T Gigabit Ethernet and 100Base-TX Fast Ethernet copper ports) and one 10G-Base-R SFP+ slot for 10G fiber Ethernet uplink. Any 10GBase transceiver (multi-mode or single-mode) or DWDM/CWDM SFP+ module can be installed in the SFP+ slot of FRM220-10G-TS converter. Also copper direct attach cables (DAC's) are supported by the FRM220-10G-TS transponder. Unit supports web-based, in-band management telnet, SNMP or console management when installed in the FRM220-CH20 chassis or in the small standalone casing of FRM220-CH02M that provides a separate console port. The media converter supports copper Ethernet 10G data (10G-Base-T and 10G-Base-R standards) as well as Gigabit Ethernet and Fast Ethernet RJ45 UTP connections.
