The MSOA-1550 Semiconductor Optical Amplifier (SOA) is a cost-effective, high-performance solution for amplifying optical signals in the 1550nm window, ideal for both 40G and 100G networks. Built on mature semiconductor laser and packaging technologies, it delivers excellent gain performance while maintaining low noise and low polarization sensitivity — all in a compact 14-pin MSA butterfly package.

Designed for both continuous wave (CW) and high-speed modulated signals, the MSOA-1550 offers up to 23 dB peak gain, <2 dB polarization dependent gain, and 10 dBm saturation output power, making it well-suited for inline telecom applications or lab setups that require precise, high-efficiency optical signal boosting. With its FC/APC connectorized SMF-28 pigtails and thermoelectric cooling, it’s ready for integration into demanding photonics systems.
