Product description
The QSFP-40001-DR4 is a 400Gb/s Quad Small Form Factor Pluggable-double density (QSFP-DD) optical module designed for 500m reach over SMF optical communication applications.
Module converts 8 channels of 50Gb/s (PAM4) electrical input data to 4 channels of parallel optical signals, each capable of 100Gb/s operation for an aggregate data rate of 400Gb/s.
It uses an MPO 12 strand connector to carry 4 parallel channels of 100G capacity each, using 1310nm EML lasers.
Unit can reach up to 500m distances on G.652 types of SMF and requires 8 strands of SMF terminated into an MPO-12 connector.
The transceiver has been tested and found compatible on 400G QSFP-DD ready Ethernet switches from Arista, Cisco, Juniper, and Edge-Core. Transceiver operates into any 3rd party vendor equipment that follows the MSA open slot standard.
