For enhanced operational safety, the meter includes an incorrect input warning system that alerts the user if a test lead is connected to a current jack while the function/range switch is set to a non-current measurement mode. The included safety test leads feature shrouded probe tips with insulation exposing only 3.5 mm of metal, preventing accidental short circuits when working in dense component layouts.
