VIAVI OCC-4056C APC DWDM Analyzer with SFP/SFP+ Bay
The VIAVI OCC-4056C DWDM Optical Channel Checker is a high-performance C-band DWDM analyzer designed for installation, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of DWDM networks. It provides optical-spectrum-analyzer-like wavelength and power measurement capabilities in a compact, field-interchangeable 4100 Series module.
Designed for use with compatible VIAVI T-BERD/MTS and OneAdvisor test platforms, the OCC-4056C measures individual DWDM channel wavelength and optical power while displaying the complete C-band spectrum in graphical and tabular formats.
This 2331/12 configuration features an SM/APC optical input with SC/APC mounted adapter and integrated dual SFP/SFP+ bays, allowing the module to accommodate up to two fixed SFP/SFP+ transceivers or one tunable laser/transceiver. SFP/SFP+ transceivers are not included.

SFP/SFP+ Bay
The integrated SFP/SFP+ interface expands the OCC-4056C beyond passive spectrum analysis. The module can accommodate:
-
Up to two SFP/SFP+ transceivers, or
-
One tunable laser/transceiver
With the appropriate VIAVI software option and compatible tunable SFP+, the module can tune MSA-compliant DWDM optics to selected ITU channels and use the transceiver as an optical source. This makes it possible to perform wavelength-route and end-to-end continuity verification using the same field test platform.
SFP/SFP+ transceivers and tunable optics are not included. Software licensing may be required for SFP functionality.

Why Use the OCC-4056C?
Traditional optical spectrum analyzers can be bulky and expensive for routine field deployment. The OCC-4056C brings the DWDM measurements most commonly required by field technicians—including channel identification, wavelength, power, spectral display, and drift analysis—into the modular VIAVI field-test environment.
Its combination of 50 GHz DWDM resolution, <4-second C-band scans, wide optical power range, graphical spectrum display, and integrated SFP/SFP+ bays makes it particularly useful for technicians deploying or maintaining modern metro, access, Fiber Deep, Remote-PHY, C-RAN, and 5G optical networks.
