Overview

The AFL Apex™ X-2 is a robust, sealed fiber optic splice closure engineered for the protection of optical fiber splices in both above-grade and below-grade environments. Utilizing a butt configuration, this closure is built for demanding outside plant conditions, providing reliable environmental protection for high-density fiber networks.

The Apex X-2 features a unique wedge-based cable sealing system that allows for individual cable port management without disturbing existing fibers. Its internal design includes a dedicated slack storage basket with integrated tie-down points and hinged, lockable splice trays, facilitating organized fiber and tube management for long-term maintenance accessibility.
