Overview
The AFL CLETOP 8500-10-0014MZ is a Type B ferrule cleaning cassette designed for efficient, dry fiber optic connector maintenance. It utilizes a specialized 2-µm fiber weave tape that cleans connectors through capillary action, effectively trapping contaminants in micro-pockets to ensure high-quality signal transmission. This tool is a standard solution for field and manufacturing environments where consistent results are required without the use of solvents.
The cleaner is engineered for ease of use, featuring a lever-actuated mechanism that exposes cleaning slots for quick, two-pass cleaning of connector end-faces. Its compact, anti-static construction makes it suitable for demanding network maintenance tasks.
