Overview
The AFL CLETOP 8500-10-0027MZ is a classic-style fiber optic ferrule cleaning cassette designed to provide effective, dry cleaning for fiber optic connectors. It utilizes a coarse-weave 2-µm blue cloth that employs capillary action to lift and trap contaminants, such as dust, oil, and grease, into micro-pockets within the fabric. This dry cleaning method eliminates the need for alcohol or other solvents, making it a safe and environmentally friendly solution for both field technicians and manufacturing facilities.
This Type A cleaner is specifically engineered for 2.5-mm ferrules, supporting a wide range of connector types including SC, SC2, FC, ST, DIN, and D4. The cassette design features an easy-to-use lever that advances the cleaning tape to ensure a fresh surface for each operation, providing over 400 cleanings per reel.
