The Covestro DeSolite® DP-1032 is an advanced primary optical fiber coating engineered to protect delicate glass fibers while supporting the performance requirements of today's high-capacity telecommunications networks. Acting as the inner coating layer in a dual-coating system, DP-1032 helps absorb mechanical stresses that can negatively impact fiber attenuation and long-term reliability.

Developed for modern draw tower operations, this UV-curable coating offers excellent processing characteristics and is compatible with both wet-on-wet and wet-on-dry manufacturing methods. Its low-modulus design provides outstanding microbending resistance, helping maintain signal quality throughout fiber production, cabling, installation, and field deployment.

DP-1032 also features strong cavitation resistance and optimized adhesion properties, making it well suited for ribbon fiber, loose-tube cable, and other advanced fiber optic cable constructions. The coating supports high draw speeds while delivering the consistency and durability required for large-scale telecommunications fiber manufacturing.
