The Covestro DeSolite® DS-2042 is a UV-curable secondary coating material designed to enhance the mechanical durability and long-term performance of optical fibers used in telecommunications networks. Developed for high-speed manufacturing environments, DS-2042 combines excellent processing characteristics with reliable protection against microbending-related signal loss.

Its balanced formulation allows seamless integration into both wet-on-wet and wet-on-dry coating processes, giving fiber manufacturers greater flexibility in production line configuration.
