This fiber optic clamp is designed to prevent the optical fiber form pistoning inside buffer or cable jacket during fusion splicing. Each kit comes with 1 base and 3 sliders(900µm loose buffer,2mm and 3mm jacket versions). Attack the clamp to your fiber within 12 inches of the end to prevent the fiber pistoning while you fusion splice the cable.
