The Fluke Networks CIQ-KIT CableIQ Kit combines the versatility of the Fluke Networks CableIQ Qualification Tester with the supplementary abilities of the IntelliTone 200 probe and six remote office IDs. This kit allows network technicians to tackle a large volume of cabling applications in a systematically efficient manner. The CableIQ tester itself supplies the user with all of the necessary abilities to see if a cable is qualified to support 10/100, VoIP, or Gigabit Ethernet and efficiently troubleshoot any resultant network connectivity problems.
The CIQ-KIT consists of the CableIQ main unit & remote adapter, reporting software CD, IntelliTone 200 probe, remote IDs #2-7, RJ45-RJ45 patch cord (2), USB cable, coax "F" adapter, 75-ohm coax patch cord, RJ45/11 universal coupler, RJ11-RJ11 patch cord, CD and quick start guide, AA batteries, accessory soft pouch, and hard carry case.
The main novelty in the CableIQ is its ability to simultaneously troubleshoot and qualify cabling bandwidth. This innovation provides efficiency in the form of versatility, allowing users to see what speeds existing cabling can support, isolate cabling from network problems quickly, and discover what's at the far end of any cable in one fell swoop without any added costs or complications. The CableIQ's powerful troubleshooting capabilities are also aided by its intuitive user interface which enables easy usage with minimal required training and user confusion.
The CableIQ provides detailed information on the nature and location of cabling performance faults as well as the locations of the cables themselves. An intelligent wiremap displays any cable's wiring configuration graphically and shows the distance to opens and shorts. Its advanced diagnostics also identify and locate non-wiremap related connection faults such as crosstalk and large impedance changes. The built-in IntelliTone digital technology allows you to tone and trace without disconnecting from the network. When used in conjunction with the CableIQ, the additional IntelliTone 200 probe allows the user to locate cables with a high amount of precision.
