The Fluke Networks® FiberLert-125 850nm to 1625nm Light Detector is used to verify fiber activity, check polarity and operation of single mode, multimode, UPC and APC patch cords and ports. Non-contact design makes it an effective tool for non-contaminating testing. With optical power detection range +3dBm to -30dBm, the FiberLert senses near infrared light emitted from fiber optic cabling. A steady red LED at the handle and an audible beeping indicate an active fiber. The tester features the LightBeat indicator (flashing LED) of powered-on condition and good battery, plus auto turn-off after five minutes of inactivity.

The rugged FiberLert-125 comes with a non-contact ceramic ferrule. It fits directly with 1.25 mm LC receptacles. Tethered ferrule adapter is for testing 1.25 mm ferrule patch cord. The unit also includes a pocket clip and 2x AAA batteries. Two-year warranty.
