Franklin CGBC-350 CELLGUARD Wireless Base Coordinator Unit
The Franklin Electric CGBC-350 Base Coordinator Unit (BCU) serves as the central data collection and communication hub for the CELLGUARD™ Wireless Battery Monitoring System (BMS). Engineered for critical power applications, this unit provides continuous, highly accurate battery state-of-health monitoring by analyzing battery voltage, temperature, and conductance.
The CGBC-350 seamlessly coordinates wireless sensor networks across large battery plants. It features an embedded web server and supports standard industrial protocols, including Modbus (Ethernet TCP/IP UDP) and DNP3, enabling remote network configuration, string voltage capture, and automated discharge data collection. The system is designed to report data directly to CELLTRAQ™ or UNITE™ Battery Management Software for advanced visualization and centralized asset management.
System Capabilities & Features
- Capacity: Supports up to 16 battery strings (1 to 300 batteries per string) and up to 600 wireless sensors per BCU.
- Monitoring Parameters: Continuous analysis of battery voltage, conductance, and temperature.
- Communication Protocols: Integrated network capabilities supporting Modbus (Ethernet TCP/IP UDP) and DNP3 communications.
- Embedded Web Server: Facilitates localized interface and remote network configuration.
- Environmental Sensing: Includes two ambient temperature sensors.
- Alarm Output: Equipped with external alarm dry contacts for direct facility integration.
