The Franklin Electric CGTC3-600-WD String Sensor Kit is an essential component of the CELLGUARD™ Wired Battery Monitoring System (BMS). Designed for critical power applications, this sensor detects discharge events while accurately measuring battery string current and ambient temperature for a single battery string. The module communicates directly with the CELLGUARD Base Coordinator Unit (CGBC-350-HWD) via serial ports.
A dedicated string sensor is required for each monitored battery string, supporting both series and parallel wiring methodologies. The sensor utilizes a -10 A discharge current threshold and features a 1-second sample rate to ensure precise, real-time monitoring of battery activity and environmental conditions.
