Free-Space Isolator, 375 nm, Ø2.7 mm Max Beam, 3 W Max
Overview
The IO-3-375-GLB is an adjustable, narrowband Faraday isolator designed for the ultraviolet spectral range from 365 nm to 385 nm. This magneto-optic device allows for the preferential transmission of light in a single direction, protecting upstream optical sources from back reflections that can cause intensity noise, frequency shifts, or mode hopping. It is constructed for use in free-space optical systems.
Key Features
- Adjustable Narrowband Tuning: The device allows users to adjust the input and output polarizers, enabling the optimization of peak isolation within the 370 nm to 380 nm range.
- High Isolation Efficiency: Provides a minimum of 30 dB isolation at the 375 nm center wavelength, effectively blocking back-propagating light.
- UV-Optimized Design: Engineered specifically for applications requiring operation between 365 nm and 385 nm, minimizing the risk of optical damage from intense back-reflections.
- Compact Beam Handling: Designed to accommodate beams with a maximum diameter of 2.7 mm, allowing for integration into constrained optical layouts.
- Power Handling Capability: Rated for a maximum power of 3 W and a power density of 100 W/cm2, supporting operation with standard UV light sources.
