Operating at an industry-standard 512 Hz, the sonde provides excellent signal penetration, capable of tracing depths up to 12 feet in plastic piping and 6 feet in cast iron environments. It features a standard 1/4"-20 female thread for secure attachment and is powered by an included 1.5V "N" cell battery, yielding 4 to 6 hours of continuous operational time.
