Cost-Effective O-Band Amplification for 40G/100G Optical Systems

The MSOA-1310 Semiconductor Optical Amplifier delivers high-performance O-band amplification in a compact, cost-efficient package—perfect for 40G and 100G telecom applications. Built on proven semiconductor laser and packaging technology, it offers a low-cost alternative to traditional fiber amplifiers, with support for operation across the 1280–1330nm wavelength range.

This SOA is ideal for boosting high-speed signals over short and medium distances. With up to 18 dB gain, <2 dB polarization dependence, and 8.5 dBm saturation output power, the MSOA-1310 provides reliable, efficient amplification while minimizing noise. Housed in a standard 14-pin butterfly package, it includes FC/APC-terminated SMF-28 fiber pigtails and built-in TEC cooling for stable performance in demanding environments.
