  • If the fiber patch cable is switched or replaced, the spectrometer will need to be factory recalibrated to update the amplitude correction. We offer a factory recalibration service, which can be ordered by scrolling to the bottom of the page and selecting Item # CAL-CCT.
  • The M16L01 SMA to FC/PC fiber patch cable uses the same FG050LGA fiber as the M14L02 patch cable included with CCT12 spectrometers. Each spectrometer's amplitude correction is accurate only with the included patch cable.

These compact crossed Czerny-Turner spectrometers are designed for high-performance measurements in a small footprint, roughly the size of a portable hard drive. Models are available with spectral ranges of 200–1000 nm, 350–700 nm, and 500–1000 nm, with resolutions from better than 2 nm down to sub-nanometer depending on the model. Each unit comes wavelength calibrated and amplitude corrected and is shipped with a calibration report and test data.

Despite their compact design, these spectrometers offer features normally found in larger, more expensive systems. They can be synchronized with other devices using TTL trigger input and output with low jitter (1 μs), making them well-suited for precise timing applications such as Laser-Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy. An internal shutter allows rapid background subtraction, while the included multimode fiber patch cable makes integration into fiber-based systems straightforward.

Mounting Options
For stability and flexibility, units can be mounted horizontally using two through holes for standard 1/4"-20 (M6) screws, or vertically using CL4 clamps.

Software Package
The included software provides full PC control via USB or Ethernet, with a graphical user interface (GUI) as well as drivers for .NET, Python, and NI LabVIEW. Users can view spectra, background, and peaks in a single window, apply algorithms for smoothing, averaging, absorption, or transmission, and compare results against stored profiles. Both user wavelength calibration and factory calibration are supported.

Accessories

  • Cosine Correctors: Attach to SMA connectorized fibers or directly to the input port for free-space measurements.

  • Fiber Bundles: Linear-to-round fiber bundles optimized for spectrometer use increase signal levels by matching the slit geometry. Reflection probe fiber bundles are also available for spectroscopy applications.

  • Patch Cables: Standard SMA-to-SMA patch cable included; additional cables and custom configurations available separately.

Recalibration Service
Annual recalibration is recommended to maintain accuracy. While user wavelength calibration can be performed through the software, amplitude correction requires factory recalibration. Recalibration is also recommended when using a different patch cable than the one originally supplied, as the cable influences amplitude correction.
