Frequently Asked Questions
What does the Riser rating indicate?
The Riser (OFNR) rating indicates that the cable jacket is designed to prevent the spread of fire between floors in vertical installations.
Are the fibers bundled within the cable?
Yes, fibers are organized into 12-fiber subunits to improve cable management and facilitate easier termination.
Can this cable be used outdoors?
This specific cable is designed for indoor applications. For outdoor or indoor/outdoor requirements, please verify the appropriate jacket ratings.
Does this cable include armor?
This model is a standard micro distribution cable. Aluminum interlocking armor is an optional configuration for this product line.
What is the primary application for OM1 fiber?
OM1 (62.5um) multimode fiber is typically utilized for shorter-reach, legacy local area networks and premise distribution systems.
