The Triplett WS230 is an electronic wall scanner engineered to identify the center and edges of wood or metal studs, detect ferrous and non-ferrous metals, and locate live AC wiring behind walls. Featuring automated calibration and a 2.4-inch color display, it provides both audio alerts and precise visual indicators to ensure accuracy during network cabling, electrical routing, and wall inspections.

Powered by an integrated 3.7V / 300mAh rechargeable lithium-ion battery, the unit supports up to 3,000 measurements per charge. It features a USB Type-C interface for standardized recharging on the job site.

Detection Modes & Ranges

• Stud Detection Mode: Locates the center and edges of wood or metal studs up to 1.5 inches (38 mm) deep.
• Metal Detection Mode: Identifies both ferrous and non-ferrous hidden metals up to 4.0 inches (100 mm) deep.
• AC Voltage Detection: Detects live AC wires up to 2.0 inches (50 mm) deep.
